Here are a few notes as we approach the end of the regular season.
Spin Moves…We are still having some difficulties in identifying illegal spin moves. The video below provides another example of this move. Please be reminded that most spin moves are illegal. Failing to rule a violation in this situation is giving the player a significant advantage over his/her opponent.
Coaching Box…I have received a number of complaints from coaches about other coaches not staying within the coaching box. Clinton and I have also observed this as well. Some coaches are often out on the court during play. This is not permitted. Others are often seen in front of the scorer’s table exhorting their players. Again this is a violation of the rules. Please use whatever tools you have available to you to see that the coaches remain where they belong.
