Throw-in Spots
According to the Rules Book, most designated spot throw-ins are to be made from the nearest spot out of bounds to the foul or violation that created the throw-in need. Observations from the start of the season note that a significant number of such throw-ins are being made at what appears to be the convenience of the official making the throw-in.
Remember, when you put the ball in play at the wrong location, you are kicking a rule.
